The staff of the International Foundation Year, which includes the head of the programme, tutors, coordinators, and assistants, were extremely supportive and ready to help at all times. I had regular meetings with an assigned personal tutor throughout the year to discuss any issues I faced during my studies. They also helped me with my questions, enquiries and concerns about my degree which I was about to start in the following academic year. I learned a lot in the International Foundation Year which helped me to do well in my degree.

University of Cardiff

Bsc Computer Science

I chose to study International Foundation Year because it helped me to acquire knowledge about the specific education system that prepared me for my BA Hons degree, I already have one-year of studying experience, so I know what the University expects from me and my work. For me, the tutorial was as important for my studies as the sessions. Each student has different problems in their studying, and bringing these issues in tutorial helps a lot because the tutor has me to answer, explain in detail and help solve these issues. In tutorials, I got detailed responses to my questions and understood what I need to do to improve in different stages of the programme.

University of Nottingham

BA (Hons) Tourism with Business

The course was very useful and I found that most of the modules we studied at the Founda on Year are of a similar style to what we are going to study at university. Teaching at the Founda on Year is also very similar to the university’s system and the tutors show us how to be prepared for undergraduate study. Examina ons and coursework are very close to what we will do at university. I hope to do a placement in my third year, and eventually start working for a bank or a big
company
